Double Flap Gates

Double flap gates are used to close off pressure chambers while simultaneously discharging dusty and flowable materials.

KREISEL double flap gates are particularly suitable for the discharge of highly abrasive or hot bulk materials in almost all branches of industry, for example for coal, ashes, and minerals. Due to the selection of appropriate materials and a high manufacturing quality, the KREISEL double flap gate offers the operator a trouble-free operation over a very long operating time.

The operating principle of the double flap gate is that two flap gates arranged one above the other in a fixed housing open and close alternately by means of a mechanism. One flap seals the system against the unwanted inflow of air while the other flap opens and closes to allow the material to pass into the next section of the system.

The mechanism for this alternating action is either simply weight-loaded, or is implemented by means of a motor, pneumatic or hydraulic drive.
