History
Foundation
On August 12, Wilhelm Kreisel founded the locksmith and autogenous welding shop in the village of Keula. The first product manufactured was air filters.
Change of name
The handicraft family business developed into an industrial small business. The company changed its name to Gebrüder Kreisel Maschinenfabrik und Eisengießerei.
Growth during the world economic crisis
The workforce increased to 80 employees despite the difficult years during the Great Depression.
Delivery of 200 machines
In the years after World War 2, about 200 plants for the cement industry and peat briquette factories were delivered to more than 22 countries.
Limited partnership
The plant operated as a limited partnership with state participation.
Forced nationalization
The company was forcibly nationalized and assigned to the VEB Kombinat Luft- und Kältetechnik Dresden as VEB Entstaubungstechnik Krauschwitz.
Formation of KREISEL GmbH & Co. KG
The nationally owned company was reprivatized to KREISEL GmbH & Co. KG with 85 employees.
Expansion of the product range
KREISEL starts up a new production hall and other investment projects to expand the product range. New logistics connections are built.
Saxon Environmental Award
The company is awarded the Environmental Prize of the Saxon State Ministry for the Environment and Agriculture.
New production hall
In November the new production hall with an area of 950 sqm and a large moving column milling machine is inaugurated.
Market launch of the KREISEL ceramic rotary valve
Market launch of the KREISEL ceramic rotary valve. Since then, our rotary valves have been used by numerous customers (mineral industry and construction industry such as cement, lime, gypsum, power plant) in countries all over the world, often as a replacement of energy-intensive pumps.
