On August 12, Wilhelm Kreisel founded the locksmith and autogenous welding shop in the village of Keula. The first product manufactured was air filters.

The family business company became a small industrial company. The company was renamed Gebrüder KREISEL Maschinenfabrik und Eisengießerei.



In spite of the difficult years of global economic crisis, the number of employees increased up to 80.


In the years after the Second World War, approx. 200 machines for the cement industry and turf briquette factories were delivered to over 22 countries.



The company operated as a limited partnership with state participation.



The company was subject to compulsory nationalisation constraint and allocated to VEB Kombinat Luft- und Kältetechnik Dresden as VEB Entstaubungstechnik Dresden.



Reprivatisation of the company converted it from a state-owned company to KREISEL GmbH & Co. KG with 85 employees.


KREISEL commissioned a new manufacturing facility and other investment projects to expand the product range. New logistics connections were built.


The company is awarded the Environmental Prize of the Saxon State Ministry for the Environment and Agriculture.



The new manufacturing facility with a surface area of 950 m² and a large travelling column milling machine were officially opened in November.


The new „Pneumatic Conveying Systems“ business area is launched at the Hamburg site.

Market launch of the KREISEL ceramic rotary valve. Since then, our rotary valves have been used by numerous customers (mineral industry and construction industry such as cement, lime, gypsum, power plant) in countries all over the world, often as a replacement of energy-intensive pumps.



On August 12th, KREISEL celebrated its 100th anniversary.


Completion of the technical centre with attached bulk solids analysis laboratory.


Takeover and continuation of the business of SCHÄFFER Verfahrenstechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Thierhaupten by the newly founded SCHÄFFER Verfahrenstechnik GmbH.


KREISEL places increasing emphasis on sustainability topics. In 2019, a photovoltaic system is installed at the company's headquarters. This not only reduces the ecological footprint but also promotes independence from energy price fluctuations.

KREISEL receives the award „Clever Fox - Culture of Prevention“ from the Employer‘s Liability Insurance Association for Wood and Metal.

KREISEL operates with 160 employees at three business sites and supplies pneumatic conveying systems and components to over 100 countries worldwide.
KREISEL Industries GmbH uses certifications to demonstrate strict compliance with company and industry standards of conduct in its operating processes.
